Founded in 1966 in a historic registry building, American Precision Museum followed the course of manufacturing from using water power and hand-powered lathes and turrets to producing tens of thousands of rifles for the Union during the Civil War. It now traces the history of the tool-machine industry through changing exhibits that show the progress and history of manufacturing.
